I'm a fellow MidWestern gal. My husband and I stayed at the Mansion Inn a few years ago before they renovated. I've seen it since, and even though the rooms are lovely now, they were even better before. The hotel had more saturated colors then, like plums, grays, and soft teals. It still looks great, just not the same as I remember -- it had a very designer feel before. The area is lovely!
