Fresh Fabrics Friday: Betwixt by Schumacher

Not every fabric can be the life of the party in a room, some need to be the "accompaniment," still making noise, still pulling their visual weight, just not doing all of the heavy lifting.  Betwixt is just that fabric, with it's interesting, two color, smaller scale pattern.  Part of Celerie Kemble's collection from Schumacher, Betwixt has an updated traditional feel. This 100% cotton, geometric woven has some heft to it making it a perfect choice for upholstery and pillows as well as uncomplicated window coverings such as pelmet boards or cornices. There are 7 colorways ranging from lovely neutrals to a few bold options.

I love the room below where Betwixt is used on an ottoman.

Here you can see it paired with Hot House flowers and a couple of other patterns from the Celerie Kemble collection.

Betwixt retails for $98.00 per yard but can be found here for only $69.00/yard
Fun, but not too "loud" in all types of applications.

Have you used Betwixt in your home?  If so what color and how did you use it?

We have a fun week-end ahead with friends coming into town and plans to go tubing on the mighty Wisconsin River!  Enjoy your week-end and I'll meet you back here on Monday.  I have some photos from a completed Room Rx project to share, among the usual stuff!!!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Design Concept Board or a complete Room Rx.

  2. You really know how to get to a girl with some Betwixt - I just love it. And I really loved that ottoman in House Beautiful when I saw it too - that color palette they used was so pretty (reminds me of your post the other day with the beach pictures). Betwixt is so versatile too.

  3. I'm so excited! I just ordered 4 yards of Betwixt in Charcoal and Ecru on Wednesday to recover a chair. Seeing it used in these images was such a treat!

  4. I am a big fan of betwixt. It is the perfect "small" pattern. Love these images Cathy!

  5. I love betwixt. The colors and pattern are a consideration for my dining room chairs that require reupholstering but I am still working on my color choices.
