Giveaway: Novica

Last year I hosted my first ever giveaway on the blog offering a gift card from NOVICA. I shared some of my favorite items from the website and told you about the company's mission to empower artisans around the world to create and to make access to those products easy for you. 

Once again I have been lucky enough to work with NOVICA to offer you another opportunity to win a gift certificate. 

This time, I too was offered the opportunity to purchase something through the site and I thought I would share my experience. 

There is so much to see and purchase on the NOVICA website and a great feature offered to enable one to keep track of all they like is the "wish list" feature. Here are a few items that I have added to my wish list....

Since I really did not need anything for my home at this time, I decided to treat myself to the embroidered belt above.

This item was hand made in coastal Peru, the flowers embroidered on a wool belt made on a traditional loom. After ordering (which was a breeze) the belt was shipped from Peru, so it did take a spell to arrive. All things considered, I felt it came in a timely fashion, especially after knowing how long it took my daughter's care package to arrive in Santiago, Chile!

Once the parcel arrived, I could not have been more delighted, check out the packaging....

You can bet I will be re-using this for a gift I give in the future, isn't
