The pale embrace of warm apricot, elevated by cool blue gray tones and a smidge of yellow....
Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx.
i am not an apricot gal at all, but you made such a mean case for it! i am loving the board you put together- that rug!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely, Cathy! I'm not a huge fan of pink usually...but since this has that orange tone to it it elevates it to such a sophisticated color, love it with the blue grey and yellow - beautiful mood board!
ReplyDeleteYou've certainly convinced me that apricot can be beautiful! Love the design board.
ReplyDeleteYou never disappoint! Seriously, every week I have a new favorite color after seeing your post! So pretty!
ReplyDeleteI love these posts ... you always come up with the most amazing examples of colors. I would NEVER think of apricot, but now you have me wondering how I can incorporate it into my house for spring. Absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteSAME - every week I declare best color combo and then each week you just plug right through with another. How beautiful is that first creature? I'd love to use this palette in a room for Sheila some day - I think it's beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNever, never, never would I have considered apricot (not since my bedroom growing up when I wanted it decorated apricot and mint green. I'm a child of the '80s, after all.) But your mood board has me reconsidering. THAT RUG!
ReplyDeleteI just painted my living room a very pale apricot and I love it. My husband thought I was nuts but it is a wonderful "barely there" color.
ReplyDeleteApricot is a color that I do not normally lean towards but I can see it work perfectly against grey. That is an amazing rug. My husband had one very similar during his bachelor days which we used until last year in the dining room. Another well executed board, Cathy.
