After the fabrics were selected and ordered for this project, my client informed me that she would be doing her own sewing.... Little did I know of the hidden talent she possesses!
Not only did she make the gorgeous pillow and shams pictured below, but she also sewed the fully lined and pleated panels that now hang in this bedroom as well as a cushion for an existing chair.
Who knew???!!!
I have always maintained that as a designer my best projects are the ones that are a collaboration, with the client being a very integral part of the process.
This job epitomizes that idea and is testament to why I love what I do and how lucky I have been to have such wonderful clients!
We still have a few tweaks to do to finish the room, but we are almost there
and I can't wait to share it with you.
In other news, the Polar Vortex has not loosened its grip around here. I did not set foot outside yesterday and we are on our 3rd "no school day" since the beginning of the month. While I do love Winter, this is definitely getting old, it's too cold to actually go out and enjoy!
I am looking forward to the warming by week's end, temperatures in the teens... whoo hoo!

Lucky you to have such talented clients that can contribute in such a nice way - wow!! Love those patterns together. Polar vortex is in full effect here as well. Looks like we'll be up into the 40's for the weekend so that will be awesome (??). :)
