My goal for the blog this year is to do a better job sharing what I am up to.
I may not be blogging terribly often, but when I do I hope to show you the projects I am engaged in, from the planning stages to the finished product.
I also want to show you more of what inspires me, so I am going to work harder at staying regular with my "seen & loved" posts and occasionally do a "color of the moment" or "10 things" post.
Short, sweet but doable goals for the blog in 2014, don't you think?

So let me start out with a bang… I have been working on a bedroom project for some time now and want you to see what we are up to.
Let's start at the beginning with some before shots of the space.
A very traditional room, which had not changed since my client moved into her home years ago, definitely time for a "freshen up."

A very traditional room, which had not changed since my client moved into her home years ago, definitely time for a "freshen up."
As I was working with my client to understand her wishes, she pulled out several pieces of art work and this piece just spoke to me as it met her requirements for the room in terms of color and style.
So off to the framer it went and just as I went to the proverbial drawing board.
My client had already selected a bed and chest of drawers which I gave her the go ahead on. I found the perfect fabric for the space and a new look fell into place from there.
This was my initial design plan:
The room is nearing completion and as with any project, the plan has evolved and is coming together in an amazing way, right down to the shams, pillows and window treatments that my talented client has made herself!
Stay tuned…. more to come on this Asian Inspired Master.
The kids are back to school today (finally) and now to try to get back into my routine…. or at least get something checked off my to-do list!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? I would love to work with you to help your room "feel better."

I proposed that RA fabric at the top left in a project I had worked on. I love that. And so good to see lots of posts from you Cathy - I'm right there with you. Hope to keep up with what's going on with me on the blog this year.
