seen & loved: 3-10-14

Recently in my web wanderings I have seen and loved....

+++++

Larissa at Prodigal Pieces created this lovely piece and if you love it,
you can actually buy it from her Etsy shop!

+++++

Maybe you have seen this space maybe you haven't,
but I am smitten with this bathroom by

The wallpaper...... The antique brass.... just goes to show you that those trends are alive and kicking!

+++++

And speaking of wallpaper, this happy home really goes to town with it

 Check out the whole space on this Spring Home tour at Bright, Bold & Beautiful

+++++

You have probably heard about the Creating with the Stars link up contest where 12 rising talents are chosen and get paired up with an experienced creative to participate in the 2014 match up.

I love that East Coast Creative has found a way for clever DIYers to strut their stuff
and was wowed by

Made from stuff you can find at Home Depot or Lowes.... who would think?

+++++

And how about these gorgeous, graphic appliquéd hexagon pillows done up in velvet and linen
 from my CSIL in her Therese Marie Designs Etsy shop?

I am constantly amazed by Therese's creativity and attention to detail.  I am always excited to see what new designs she has come up with, so I have "favorited" her shop on my "Etsy favorites" list.

If you don't have an Etsy profile with a list of favorite shops you are really missing out!

What have you seen & loved around the web lately?

seen & loved 2/10/14

 Last week I saw and loved....

A stunning floral bouquet from grocery store roses, with a "how to" by my college friend

BTW one of my favorite Instagram feeds is @thevelvetgarden,
 inspiration by the vase full with beautiful shots of the creative work that goes on at
The Velvet Garden.

This amazing kitchen renovation in baker and cookbook author Zoe Francois home.

photo by Wing Ta of Canary Gray

And another note, I absolutely love Zoe's cookbook "Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day"
The Peasant Bread recipe is to die for, I have to be careful not to make a batch too often.

Then there is this chair, originally orange vinyl, painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint.... OMG!
Who knew you could paint vinyl with ASCP?

How about this unique and fabulous DIY feather light fixture?

And finally, this fantastic, done in a week bathroom update which Autumn did for her daughters. It is so fun and sophisticated but, I am especially smitten with the valence and shower curtain set up....

What have you seen & loved this past week?

Someday I am going to own a camper and travel to far away places, this one would make me so happy
Danielle Oakey

or maybe I'll buy an old bus and do this
Winkleman Architecture

I love the rustic, yet modern look of theses stools hand crafted from reclaimed barn wood

I was completely wowed by this incredible exterior transformation to a 50's Rambler

On an early morning snowshoe the other day I was inspired by the beauty and serenity of gray

A few of my favorites from my wanderings around the web lately…

Maybe your shopping and baking is done and you have time for crafting,
(or maybe you'll pin this one for next year) but how cute are these hand stitched gift tags?

I cannot even take how stunning this sofa make-over is…
LOVE the Marimekko black and white dot fabric.
It reads like a neutral don't you think?

Even if you  are not space challenged, having drawers built into your stairs is such a great use of space.
Even better when the drawers are used for shoe storage.

I found this recipe on Pinterest (where else?!) and made it for a party. So easy and delish!
(FIY, I cheated and used a ready made crust, so it was quick to prepare as well.)

An Ikea Lack elevated to new heights, literally and figuratively.

I'll be sharing the rest of the photos from my recent photo shoot with Reverie Photography this week.
I am excited for you all to see the magic worked on the family room in this home, be sure to stop by.

Hope your week is festive and productive!

seen & loved 11.9.13

This was the week of the One Room Challenge reveals and since there was much to see I thought I would share a few highlights. I am not playing favorites here, because each and every project was tremendous, but these reveals spoke to me for various reasons.

First up the official ORC participants:

A fabulous "Nantucket style" family room makeover… what I loved? The pine server and the bold artwork!

This bachelor pad was done in a rental! Who says you can't do great things in a place you don't own?

My friend Pam is full of amazing ideas and has an unparalleled talent for DIY!

This teen's bedroom was adorable before but now it is simply sophisticated with a bold splash of fun.

Here are my highlights from the ORC linking participants:

From unused shed to amazing workspace, all heated with a wood burning stove!

A powder bath that says WOW!

A guest bedroom chock full of stylish and amazing vintage finds.

A serene bedroom with luxurious linens and fabulous touches.

Since it is the weekend go ahead and indulge yourself,
look through these reveals and see what speaks to you.

Come back and share your highlights!

seen & loved

This week a few things caught my eye that were just too good not to share, so here you go…

Stripes have always spoken to me so I am completely crazy over this chair re-do by Grace at A Storied Style. (if you don't already follow Grace, you should because she is crazy talented!)

Then there was this whimsical chest make-over using wallpaper sourced from Spoonflower by Barb at Knack Studios.

And finally the reveal of the bedroom Emily Henderson designed for the couple behind Curbly.

Emily Henderson

To. die. for.
And the blue velvet bed? From Target people. Yes.

Hope you enjoyed seeing what I saw and loved this week.
Enjoy your week-end!
