Fresh Fabrics Friday: Chevrons at Spoonflower

Are you familiar with Spoonflower?  This fantastic website is a place where creative individuals can go with a great design or graphic pattern and have it printed on fabric.  The site has thousands of amazing offerings for purchase and each pattern can be printed on a range of fabrics.  The quilting weight fabric is $18 per yard and the most expensive is a silk crepe de chine at $38 per yard.  There is an upholstery weight twill that sounds ideal for most home decor projects. The printing process is eco-friendly, you can order swatches for $5 and there is no minimum order...it can't get much better than that!

The chevron craze still in full swing, I decided to see what kind of offerings were available in that pattern by searching Spoonflower for  "chevron patterns."  I was not disappointed, there were 8 pages of clever takes on the pattern. Here are a few of my favorites....

So how to use these amazing fabrics...?  How about a roman shade?

Or a larger pattern fashioned into grommeted panels?

Repeated on not only the window treatments but on the upholstered chair...

Or simply on the cushion of a bench...

But don't let these images limit your imagination....chevron is a fabulous, graphic and bold pattern, fashion one of these great prints into anything you can conjure up!  Have you ever purchased a fabric from Spoonflower?  If so how did you use it?  What did you think?

Finally, thanks for all of the wonderful "blog anniversary" wishes, I love hearing from you all and have truly enjoyed the experience of blogging.  Enjoy your week-end and I'll see you back here on Monday!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design
If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Design Concept Board or a complete Room Rx.

  2. I love, love, love the chevron craze! And these photo projects are great. I also think that ostrich-with-it's-head-in-the-sand wallpaper is pretty fantastic.

  3. I'm a chevron fan as well - I love that last image of the bench with the storage basket. I always wonder how long chevron will be sticking around.
