Remember the first time you got Crayola's big box of 120 colors? It was forever ago, but I do...it was heaven... and hours of focused coloring and drawing!!! Cerise, Burnt Sienna, Scarlet, Canary, Pacific Blue.... memorable and clever names for colored sticks of wax! You can find the list of all 120 Crayola colors here.
Here is a collection of goodies to get you started on the path to brightness.....

I love bright colors as you could tell in my kitchen! And you're right they can be used anywhere not just children's spaces. Such fond memories of new crayons too - I remember it was big stuff getting the box of 100.
Fabulous color inspiration!
Cathy -- This is actually exactly what I needed to see -- thank you! Our basement has a golden-ish carpet, creamy walls, stained woodwork, and lots-and-lots of wood furniture (mostly pine, and two painted black cabinets). I've been wanting to add some color and brightness, but wasn't sure how. Your ideas are really helpful. I'd love to see another post about the use of bright colors in a sophisticated (yet informal) decor! Thanks again for sharing your ideas --
Janet
