Our boy is home after an amazing semester at Conserve School
The photos below are book-ends of the past several months...

Upon arrival; Nervous, yet excited about the experience ahead. Ready to enjoy all that the semester has to offer, from the beauty of the seasons in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, to meeting new people, trying new things and pushing personal boundaries.

Upon departure; Filled with a new-found maturity and confidence, a fully developed love for the outdoors and our environment, not to mention the joy of deeply forged friendships. Beneath it all the sadness of endings, yet the excitement of beginnings.

I can't say enough about this fabulous semester program and the amazing experience our son had. Should you have a high school student, or know of one, who would be interested in such a program, I would be delighted to share more, just leave a comment or send me an email.

Have a great week!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx.

I love the casual look and feel to the porch - it doesn't look too overdone or styled - it looks lived in and comfortable.
And I'm no expert on photos, but I agree with Nancy - look at the difference in the photos of your son from drop off to pick up! He looks more confident and you can even tell my his stance in both photos. Congrats to him and to you and your family on making such a great choice in this experience for him! I bet you're so glad to have him home for a while. Bring on the summer!

My favorite thing about the room is the ceiling -- gorgeous! But, I also really love that even though it naturally leans more rustic because of the ceiling and walls, there are still beautiful gold frames and streamlined furniture that keep it from looking shabby.

And, I'm so happy that you son had a great semester at conserve school! I can't believe he's already home! But, what an amazing experience :)

A picture is worth a thousand words...I can't wait to hear more about it when we meet!! :)

I like the restful, casual feel, nothing fussy, it wouldn't compete with the outside landscape.

I agree that you son looks more confident and mature. I'm glad to hear that the semester was a wonderful experience. I'm sure you'll be happy to have him back home for the summer. That's a beautiful porch. My favorite things are the crisp, coastal colors - including the blue painted ceiling - and the natural fibers throughout.

This makes me want to cry. He looks so happy! Well done, mama. As for the porch, I love the fact that you can see the exterior shingles of the home.

I like the colorful paintings in the different-sized frames.
