So apparently I have been playing hooky now for a whole week! Honestly I have not been sitting around eating bonbons and watching HGTV or The Bachelor, (well maybe I did watch one of the Bachelor shows this week.... but I was making dinner while I watched on my iPad. Multi-tasking is good right?) I have been busy with life and work and unfortunately nothing I have been up to has been blog worthy, so there you go!
I'll try to make up for that today as I just discovered that the very talented artist Lulie Wallace has added textiles to her repertoire!
You may be familiar with her whimsical floral paintings with their bold use of color and simple, graphic quality....
Well hold on to your bootstraps, because this talent now has some amazing fabric designs.....
The fabric is made in the USA and printed on a 9oz cotton duck, priced at $52 per yard it is perfect for
pillows,
window treatments, bedding or upholstery.
Not limited to use for the home, how darling are these little pouches made from the fabrics?
And the duffles?
Love them!
Lulie Wallace was featured recently in a wonderful article in House of Fifty magazine. She is a bright young talent and I look forward to seeing more of her work, both paintings and fabric, in the future. All of the fabrics and textiles, as well as her paintings can be purchased on her website, You can even buy samples of the fabric for $5 each. Additionally, Lulie has a lovely Tumblr where you can follow what she is up to, check it out here.

And I am guessing there will be more collaborations like this one with Urban Outfitters to look forward to as well.

Have a great week-end friends. We have a pretty quiet one ahead, which I am going to relish.

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx

i love these- so artsy!!!
I'm a fan, now. Love the fabric and the paintings. A pillow is the perfect idea for this.
I've been eyeing up her textiles to possibly use in Sheila's next room. They are so pretty and feminine. And I'd love to treat myself to one of her paintings some day. Her work = HAPPY
Enjoy your restful weekend - does it include snow? New England is getting hit hard but it doesn't sound like we're going to get much snow at all - just lots of rain today.
Oh, I'm loving those lavender dahlias! S fresh! That card is right up there with the cutest ever! Glad your weekend includes some R & R!
I was on her site looking around earlier this week - and I love her fabrics! All her work is so happy.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Cathy,
Such happy fun pieces of art and the same for her fabrics, perfect choices for Spring!!
I've seen her paintings and thought they would be pretty fabrics. Thanks for the introduction.
More to love! I had no idea her print was available as a mural from Urban Outfitters. Perhaps an option for my big blank hallway wall. Hmmmm...
