Room RX: 1 + 4 = Inspired: Welcoming 2011

A fresh start, a clean slate, a new beginning, I am always motivated to clean house (after taking down the holiday decorations and tree) and freshen/change things up as soon as January rolls in. What better way to welcome the new year into your home than right inside the front door?

Today's "1 + 4 = Inspired" post begins with a large, open foyer outfitted to be both functional and stylish, with an upholstered settee, rug, mirror, umbrella stand and coat hooks. Here are my three takes:

2) Bring in a bit of the 2011 Color of the Year, Honeysuckle, to let the world know how how tuned in you are. The fresh look, clean lines and bright color combination are a new twist on preppy!
