Fresh Fabrics Friday: Golly Bard Woodland Collection

Have you heard of Spoonflower Fabrics?  It is a company that allows individuals to design and print their own fabrics using digital textile printers, eco friendly water based inks and natural fiber fabrics.  So if you have ever thought of creating your own fabric, this is the place for you, but you can also purchase fabrics created by other artists and individuals and browsing those offerings was how I found the Golly Bard Woodland Collection.

Holly Ward Bimba is the creative force behind this lovely collection of nature inspired fabrics.  She is a watercolor artist selling her original works in her Etsy Shop and fabrics based on those original paintings on Spoonflower. Holly also has a delightful blog and was a featured artist on Etsy, so be sure to check it all out.

Below I have shared my top three (make that 4) Golly Bard patterns, but honestly every single one of them is charming beyond words, and all are available to be printed on a variety of fabrics, each at an incredible price (from $18 - $38 per yard) making them perfect for just about any decorating or creative project.

So beautiful and fun don't you think?  There are 20 patterns in all in the Woodland Collection and the end uses for these lovelies are many.  Depending on the weight of the fabric chosen, everything from window treatments, to bedding, to upholstery can be made with a Golly Bard pattern.  All fabrics are printed to order and there is no minimum yardage quantity.  Spoonflower has hundreds of other designs available by other artists as well and remember, if you can't find exactly what you want, design it yourself!

That brings me to my next thought.... that it's time to hear from all of you!  I want to know what fabrics you love, what projects, DIY or otherwise, you have completed using fabric, what wonderful fabrics you have discovered or designed yourself, or, in a word anything that is fabric related.  So, next week on Fresh Fabrics Friday, I'll have my first ever link party set up so that you can share all things fabric.  I"ll give you the details as I get the whole "linky" thing figured out, I can't wait to see what everyone brings to the party!

Have a great week-end... I am off to a GNO in Chicago with some dear friends tonight, so excited!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me,
I would love to help your room feel better!
