Grandma's chairs get a facelift!

One of the things I like best about what I do is helping people find the confidence to make some decorating decisions themselves.  This comes through consultation, explanation and lots of communication.  When Tricia asked for guidance in how to update the vintage dining room set given to her by her Grandma, I did a consultation and was able to share my vision for finding a bold patterned fabric.  Since the chairs were not going to get a coat of paint but would remain stained, the choice of fabric was crucial to giving the set a new life.  Additionally as we looked at the chairs it was obvious that they needed more than just re-covering.

A fun fabric purchased from JoAnn's, some upholstery webbing, foam, batting and a Google search on how to re-upholster a dining chair and the project was under way.  Tricia and her daughter completed this job together and once finished, were so pleased with the fruits of their labor, they texted me photos of the result.  I couldn't be more impressed!

The fabric is just perfect, I love the large scale floral and colors (which tie in a the decor of the Living Room next door). They did a fabulous job of lifting those "saggy seats" and making the chairs comfortable to sit on once again.  To top it all off, the sisal rug underneath lends a sense of casualness to the room that is fitting for this fun Mom and her three beautiful girls.  Great job giving Grandma's chairs a not just a little botox, but a full facelift ladies!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design
If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx!
