Well hey there...!!! My kids are all back in school today, three in high school, yikes! Finally, they are all at the same school, on the same schedule and if you can believe it, participating in the same sport. As of this week, we'll be able to go to one Cross Country meet and see all three doing their thing. I think the last time that happened was when I dragged an infant, a toddler and a preschooler to Sing & Dance in Chicago (a mommy & me music program kind of like Away We Play). This will be a busy and exciting school year with a freshman, junior and senior. Bring it on!
Enough about me, bet you thought you might see a peak at one of the projects I have been working on this Summer...give me some time, I am not that on top of it folks, I have to ease myself back into blogging. I thought I would start simple, 10 Things seemed about my speed for today, so there you go.
Let's get started shall we....
What I love about this space:
Jim Gauthier via New England Home
1. Orange, not a big commitment, because it is in the accessories, but so special
2) Amazing wing chairs... with nailhead trim
3) Daybed in the nook
4) Swing arm lamps in a bronze finish
5) Grasscloth on the walls
6) High gloss paint finish on ceiling
7) Graphic patterns on the pillows
8) Mix of textures - soft, shiny, rough, rustic
9) Un-treated window
10) ????? What do you love about this cozy nook?
Several of my client's projects are in the finishing stages so soon I will be sharing them with you. I also am motivated to complete a few DIY goodies (yes, I know....ME... DIY!) So stay tuned.......

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx.

So nice to have you back and with one of my favorite series! Loving the orange, lighting and high gloss ceiling - wouldn't have considered doing that, but it looks amazing! Can't wait to see your projects!
what a great inviting space! i love the fun pops of color! welcome back, friend!
So good to see you, Cathy!! 3 in high school?! My brain is exploding just thinking about it:) Great space...looks like the floors are actually subtly striped, I like that:)
Very good to see a post from you Cathy - I needed my Room RX fix. And you must be doing a happy dance over there with all 3 in the same school, on the same schedule, with the same sport schedule. Yahoo! That seems like a nice gig to me - all your kiddos in one spot looking after each other would make me quite happy. Ok back to design - I saw this space the other day and loved it. What I love is that the investment pieces are neutral and they kicked it up with the accessories - wise choice in my book. And those swing arm sconces are pretty awesome too. Looking forward to seeing you more my friend :)
Oh the pop of blue!
This is a fantastic nook. Love it.
Good luck with all your projects!
