Well, I bit the bullet and bought my extra storage so now I am back on track and can continue to share all of the goings on here at Room Rx and Cathy Wall Designs! Thanks to all who shared their two cents last week.
Things have been happenin' on my Spicy Hues project, painting is done, window treatments installed and last week the furniture was delivered. Let me tell you, the CR Laine pieces are just stunning! They are incredibly well made and most importantly, comfortable. My client and I are tickled with the fabric selections on the pieces we chose.
(I promise, the arm covers will disappear! I have always wondered why they bother, just send and extra yard of fabric...)
My workroom did an amazing job on the valences. Little details such as the tiny cording on the top and bottom, the corner pleats and perfect curve (to mimic the curve on the top of the armoire) make them the ideal touch for the room. The fabric brings in the pop of red my client was craving and the less formal valence suits her style.
We are now in the home stretch with the finishing touches, filling the walls with travel photos, lighting, pillows and accessories, with the goal to be 100% for a December gathering! The best part? My client is having fun, I have been receiving many texts and photos from her shopping adventures!

I remember that project. Looking great. I figure it is better to stay with Blogger, than leave. I keep telling people, I am not smart enough to bet against Google.
Great progress on this project - wow! It's beautiful Cathy. Those CR Laine pieces are perfection. And I love the pleated detail on the valances and the fact that your client is having so much fun and probably learning some new tricks along the way.
I want to curl up on that couch with a good book --- it seriously looks so comfortable! I love how this room is coming together and those valances are amazing!

Oooh, is that the red hounds tooth sofa?! Love! I want to see that baby up close!!! It's coming along beautifully, Cathy. Love how the rug pulls everything together:)
