Trends: reclaimed wood

What I like about this trend:
1) It's green
2) It is incredibly creative
3) The look works in many different spaces, with many different styles
4) It's a great material for DIY projects
5) Products constructed of reclaimed wood are available in many price points from many sources

Love this wall of wood, constructed from pieces of shipping pallets.
Another creative use of the mundane shipping pallet

I'm on a roll...more pallet cleverness!
A very clever headboard, imagine the possibilities...

  3 pieces from viva terra
 2 pieces from wisteria
2 pieces from pottery barn

Who knew, I would be so ahead of the curve when I purchased my harvest table, constructed from reclaimed pine barn boards, oh so many years ago?!!!
Seems to me this is a trend with some staying power.  What do you think?  How would you use a piece constructed of reclaimed/recycled wood in your home?

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me,
I would love to help!

I like a lot of what I am seeing being made of reclaimed wood too...Restoration Hardware has coined this look to perfection while still keeping it elegant and beautiful. Love your table!

I love this look. It's modern and vintage all at once. The furniture company that I work for does a lot of reclaimed oak pieces and they are so rich looking.
