Color of the Moment: layered neutrals

Textural, natural, soothing, a room built around neutral color can be calm, yet full of energy as the tones mix and move. Think seagrass rugs, sepia toned photographs, linen, leather and rustic woods.....

Wouldn't this color palette work beautifully in a breezeway or small mudroom?
layered neutrals

Have you ever used a neutral color scheme, just layers and tones and no "color?" I would to hear about it and see the end result.

(If you are ever curious about an item pictured in my "Color of the Moment" boards, please contact me either by commenting or sending an email)

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx

Ahh, neutrals, as much as I love color, I always go back to them! What a beautiful board, I can feel the coziness of a room with those elements!

I am kind of color crazy, but I have been loving the look of neutrals lately. It gives a room such a soft, calm feel in my opinion. Great pictures.

Ah yes, this is perfection. Layered neutrals are so gorgeous - especially this time of year - and your mood board is amazing!

I'm busting to work with neutrals, so I'll just continue to put a board together in the hopes of using it one day. I love that you can add a true color to this board and it takes on a completely different look - red and green for the holidays, or some blue for a coastal or traditional feel. Awesome look Cathy! I have one of those storage baskets (I got mine at Homegoods) and love it.

I have worked with neutrals and am experimenting with them in my own house a little bit more.
