Look what I found....

It's raining and I've been "arm twisted" to go run an errand with my 16 year old at 4 PM (which I am not too happy about doing given the time and the busy evening ahead, so suffice it to say I might have been a bit crabby....) and what do I see, but a curbside gem!  Make that a pair of gems....

Since my son knows that I am not thrilled to be off on this errand, when I stop the car and tell him to get out and run over and check out these goodies to make sure they are in decent shape, he doesn't hesitate (even though the homeowner is ready to pull out of the driveway)!  Meanwhile, I am putting seats down in my car, making room for my finds.  SCORE!!!! They are solid and functioning, so said teenager loads them up, mortified and laughing at his crazy Mom the whole time!

All these babies need is a little TLC, paint and some new cushions and they will make a perfect foursome with this pair (which came from Hubby's bachelor pad where they were used as LR chairs!) I have always loved these chairs for their cool Mid-Century lines and their comfort, so I'm delighted to have two more.

So let it be said, I am not above curbside scavenging....if its free and begging for a new life and I get there first, it's mine!  Now, this project gets added to the list of Summer projects, which somehow seems to be taking on a life of it's own.  Maybe I need to hire out....

P.S. I won't be posting tomorrow, big family get together for the week-end which involves camping, "tubing" and lots of fun. My CSIL and her family are in town tonight, I haven't packed or grocery shopped and I want to enjoy every minute.  I'll be back on Monday, so until then have yourself a fantastic week-end....
