Today I would like to introduce you to a relatively new blogger named Holly of West Pear Avenue who I have found recently through her delightful comments and great effort at reaching out to other blog writers. Holly recently wrote her 50th post on West Pear Avenue and I am pleased as punch to have her here today to share some lovely Fresh Fabric finds!
Good Friday morning Room RX readers! My name is Holly and I recently took the leap into blog world with my little engine that could blog, West Pear Avenue.
I’m beyond thrilled to be stepping in to show you some Fresh Fabrics I’ve been browsing lately while Cathy is enjoying some much deserved vacation time and R&R.
If you didn’t get a chance to read Cathy’s post the other day on Crayola Brights as inspiration, do take a few minutes to read this fun post. I have always been drawn to bold, happy colors, but recently I’ve been thinking about adding some black fabrics into our home for some balance.
Black can ground a space as it is considered a neutral. Although black may seem quite harsh, it can also be inviting and warm. It can make a room feel feminine or masculine depending upon what it is paired with.
Take a look at some of my favorites…
I think this Quadrille fabric would be great on a chair or bench in a sitting area or entryway.
Amanda Nisbet for House and Garden
I love how clean this space above looks. The floor to ceiling curtains in Quadrille's Wild Flowers II look flawless with the greenery, lanterns, and mirrors.
I also really love this black stripe fabric below by Madeline Weinrib. This one could really be used so many ways. Stripes are so versatile.
All fabrics above are available to the trade.
Now let me show you some excellent options that are more readily available.
This is one of my favorites...and it's available at Joann Fabric for $9.99/yard!
Waverly Modern Essentials in Groovy Grill
I thought this fabric by IMAN for Calico Corners was so interesting...it's called Riviera in Flight. Those are birds but it almost looks textured, doesn't it?
Calico Corners
Ok, maybe this is my favorite...I adore this Thom Filicia fabric. This is the Euclid fabric in Tuxedo. This would be perfect for a pillow or bolster.

Perhaps one of these fabrics will end up in my home at some point.
Which is your favorite? Do you have any black fabrics in your home?
A big thank you to Cathy for allowing me to share my Fresh Fabrics!
Thanks for sharing today Holly, I can't wait to see which of these great black and white fabrics makes it's way into your house!

I love Holly and it's so fun to see her on your blog today. I have a difficult time committing to black and white fabrics for myself, but I always love seeing them in action.

You can never go wrong with a little black and white in a room. I absolutely love that fabric from JoAnn's and might have to find a use for it in my house!
So true Holly. I recently came to love the black and white fabrics as well. It really does ground a room or an area. I've been using b&w pillows in my living room as place holders until I come up with a new colour scheme. Love all those fabrics, especially the Madeliene Weinrib...figures right?
Holly is a such a great blogger and friend. I'm glad I was introduced to your blog thru Holly. I absolutely LOVE any fabric from Quadrille. They can do no wrong in my opinion!
This was a blast Cathy - thanks so much for having me over to guest post today!
Thanks again Holly, so glad to have you helping out here at Room Rx!
Who doesn't like black and white...raise your hand...that is what I thought...no one.
