Textile Friday: Kim Parker Home

No doubt you have seen these stylistic, bold, floral paintings before and heard the name Kim Parker. You may have even seen The Rug Company rugs that bore her designs. Since 2010, when Kim launched her own label, the rugs have been available through Kim Parker Home along with several other home furnishing items bearing her signature designs. I am a little slow to the game, because I just stumbled across this site and it's offerings, so in case, like me you are not "in the know," you can now consider yourself informed!

The beauty of these pieces, especially the rugs, is that while they make a big statement, they are at home in a variety of settings, with many furniture styles. All of the rugs are hand knotted of 100% New Zealand wool and are available in a variety of sizes, including custom.

Newest rug design, Begonia

Mums and Asters

India Love

Samba

Tea Roses

Sunrise Stripe

The line also includes some stunning textiles such as this Kantha quilt and shams...
Kantha Quilt Anil's Garden

Imagine the beauty and texture this hand embroidered spread would add to a bedroom....
 Wild Roses Hand Embroidered bedspread

And how about a few statement pillows.....

Apple Green Stripe Pillow

Aren't these textiles incredible? For lovers of bright, happy color, the addition of a Kim Parker piece would be like a shot of caffeine, waking up any space.
You can find Kim Parker prints at  Art.com. For more about Kim, visit her website and blog.

Based on today's post as well as last Friday's, I think "Fresh Fabrics Friday," has now officially expanded to include "fresh textiles!" Gotta keep it interesting don't you think?

Have a fun and action packed week-end! Mine looks to be just that with a concert tonight, a baseball game, my daughter's confirmation and a visit from G-Mama and G-Papa (grandparent names lovingly coined by my kids) tomorrow and a handful of other commitments! I'm tired, but happy already....!

Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx.

I like the expansion to textile friday, by the way. I'm excited to see what you have up your sleeve! :)

I'm not in the know although the pillows look somewhat familiar. I really love the begonia rug. And I also like the "textiles" Friday and how you've expanded your parameters. You've got a full weekend - enjoy it Cathy!
