As you know, I have a thing for the transformative power of fabric. The custom look and sense of character it can add to a space is worth every penny. We just put the finishing touches on this dining room the other day which I have posted about previously here and here. While I am not giving you the full reveal, I wanted to show you the slip covers I had made for the host chairs.
With lots of wood going on, the room needed the softness of some fabric. Since we opted for a simple Roman shade in the window and the room opens to the Family room, pulling in a fabric to unify the spaces was the way to go.
Using this fabric,(Scoma by Kravet)
on this chair,
this is the end product!
Complete with a cute little pleated skirt
and buttons up the back.
My client and I could not be more delighted! And can I tell you??? I adore my seamstress!!! She did an amazing job with incredible attention to detail and is an absolute joy to work with. Thanks Carolyn, you rock!!!
Another Homecoming boutonniere order came in so I am off to finish up and try and figure out how to be in three places at once tomorrow for pre-dance photos. I'll keep you posted!
What big plans do you have for this Fall week-end?
Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a Room Rx.
