Last week I shared my plan for a master bedroom re-do. Lots of new furniture was to be purchased so I suggested having the existing nightstands zhushed up with paint and new hardware.
Because I know my limitations, we decided to hire out the work out.
Inspired by a piece she found online, my client removed a drawer and had her hubby build a platform for holding a basket.
Then we sent both pieces and swatches of the room's fabrics off to
my gal Krizia of Oak + Olive here in Madison.
She works wonders with milk paint…
Aren't they stunning?
The nightstands look amazing with the dark wood of the bed and tall boy dresser,
so it was a win-win situation.
I highly recommend Krizia of Oak + Olive, she is creative, very talented and
able to transform a piece of furniture by finding it's true soul.
Next, my client got right on the framing of the inspiration artwork.
After a few texts with photos and questions,
this is how it turned out….
Didn't she do a fabulous job picking the mat and frame?
I love that the bold orange color was pulled from the painting,
it ties in so nicely with the fabrics chosen for the room and gives the walls a little pop.
More to come on this space, it is really coming together!
Don't you love when that happens?
Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design? I would love to work with you to help your room "feel better."
