How about the ombre walls here....?!!!!

Pales seem to be often accompanied by natural or weathered woods, lots of texture and an occasional pop of a deeper, more saturated color. Walls in pale rooms do not have much color, yet they are the perfect backdrop for the various hues of "pale."
This color board from another lovely blog Design Seeds (another blog worth reading, all about color inspiration) captures exactly what I mean about what the color looks like....
What do you think? Tell me about a room you have done using pales...
Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design?

Those images are so pretty...love the wall treatment on the 5th one....I actually do not have any pastels in my home but I am drawn to them.....especially after seeing these.
Pales aren't in my house either and I also have to ask myself why not. Beautiful rooms!
Thanks for the love and linkage, Babe!
P.S. My home's only "pale" is the Benny Moore "Navajo White" most of the public rooms are painted. I tend towards deep colors I can bite off and chew. ;)
I love your description of "pales"...that salty comment is going to stick with me for a while! Love it!
Interesting...pales seem a lot more sophisticated too. I'm usually more of a "bright color" kind of a girl, but I think these would be perfect for one of our bathrooms or guests rooms still on the to do list.
So glad I found your blog, (through design seeds on twitter) ..
