Room Rx: "Stylishly Casual" Reveal

What is better than a great before and after?  Well today is your lucky day because that is just what I have for you, a completed Room Rx! As this project has progressed I shared a peak or two of how things were coming together and now that it is largely done, I could not be more pleased with the overall result.  My client was able to take the Rx I did for her and tweak and interpret it so that it worked for her style, budget and room. She had a vision and with my help, was able to transform her living room from drab to "Stylishly Casual" and I have to say she did a fantastic job!

To refresh your memory, here are the before photos of her living room....
And in case you are new here at Room Rx or can't remember, here is my "Stylishly Casual" Design Concept Board:stylishly casual

The inspiration for the room was the darling Ikat settee which gave us our color story.  A sisal rug grounded the room, the neutral wall color remained the same, an existing chair was given a make over and a beautiful cabinet was moved in from another room.  The addition of new upholstered chairs and tons of accessories pull it all together. But I digress, let's get on to the after shots because I know that is what you want to see......

I love how my client really played up the yummy yellow with ceramics and pillows which she culled from numerous shopping excursions (and somehow she always managed to find a sale or get a deal).

And as well repeated the cream color of the chairs with her lighting choice and other accessories.

She searched high and low to find someone to do silhouettes of her girls which hang proudly over the piano....

We made some subtle changes to the Dining Room as well with a new rug, a couple of slipcovers and artwork.  The two rooms are connected and once the Living Room was in progress that tie in became important.

My client wanted to try a gallery wall and the Dining Room seemed the perfect place, didn't she do a great job?
Wow!  I am so thrilled and impressed with how this room turned out, a long distance decorating and Room Rx success story!  Now my client is turning her sights to her kitchen, where some paint and tile will be at the center of things so stay tuned....!
Does your room need a “prescription” for a change of decor, function or design
If so please contact me, I would love to help your room feel better with a "Room Rx"!

This is beautiful! I LOVE the result. The inspiration settee is beautiful, and all the wonderful accessories really make the space.
